Alina Gillespie is a sophomore at Truckee High School. This is her first year being involved in journalism but she has always been interested in learning more about it. Alina’s favorite things to write about are sports and current events. She loves writing about things that are important for the community and the school. Her goals for Journalism this year are to improve her writing skills and to advocate for school sports that are maybe not as noticed/popular as some of the others. Outside of school, Alina loves playing golf and tennis. She ski’s and loves to travel. She hopes that she can take what she learns when doing these activities and share them in Journalism.
