I was getting ready fresh out of the shower hurrying to find clothes to put on. Amy’s dad called my mom saying they were already here.
It was too early, he said he would come at 4:30 pm yet it was only 4:00 pm.
My mom answered the phone for me while I was stuck putting on my shirt.
“Nani!” my mom yelled out to me.
Right as I got my left shoe on. I couldn’t get ready in time so they left without me, saying they will come back for me.
Still, with only 20 minutes left, I got my clothes on, brushed my teeth, and finally was finished.
I gave a sigh of relief when I was in Amy’s dad’s car. I shared laughs and giggles with Amy while we drove to Jazz’s house for the sleepover birthday party.
Once we had arrived, we were met by some of Jazz’s other friends, Natala, Becky, Stacey.
Me and Amy put our bags down just as Ryan arrived. Our other friend Emy couldn’t come because her cousins were over. Once me and Amy got comfortable, we were talking while we were walking outside.
Once Ryan arrived, she started trying to convince us to download Honkai Star Rail.
We started chasing little kids around the apartment as we waited for Jazz’s mom to get pizzas and sodas.
We were playing Roblox together when we heard Jazz’s mom come in the door, holding bags full of large soda containers and five boxes of pizza.
Amy kept drinking all the strawberry soda, and I kept eating the pizza.
Hours later we decided to build a fort out of blankets, chairs, stuffies, and pillows. It took about five tries before it finally was done.
I slept on the couch since there was no more room left, Amy and Ash slept on the floor, Jazz and Lex in the fort, while Ryan had Jazz’s room to herself.
Once we woke up we ate cereal and pizza as we started talking about how much fun we had. But sadly Lex had to go so she wouldn’t miss a meeting.
Me and Amy got picked up by her mom, and they drove me home.
This memory will forever be with me because it is important to me that I get to hang out with friends. Because I consider them my family.
What I hope for the future is that we could all be friends while we are adults.
