Welcome Back Wolverines! After a quick and fleeting summer, we are back and ready to take on another year. The third week of school allows for the opportunity to settle in and get back into a routine. Seniors, filled with the excitement and the ever-ending high school career. Freshmen with anticipation and excitement for the next four years. 

Sports are in full swing right now, click here for the complete schedule. Here are a few things that THS is looking forward to in the coming weeks: PowderPuff is on Tuesday, September 19th. Homecoming is Saturday, September 23rd. And the Friday Night Lights Football Games are on Friday, September 15th, and Friday, September 22nd. Football Schedule

Entering the second year of journalism, and the first year with the publication up and running is extremely exciting and highly inspiring. Journalism in the 2022-23 school year was focused on establishing the Truckee Times. Now we have an established publication working to capture the student voice. At the Truckee Times, we strongly encourage and believe in the voices and actions of everyone in the school. Every voice matters! Submit stories here!

Lola is currently a Senior and is in her third and last year as a Managing Editor.  She established the Truckee Times as a freshman and continues to grow and evolve in her love of journalism and learning. Lola enjoys writing about news, opinion and environmental issues. Outside of obsessing over journalism and academics, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog and family as well as being creative whenever possible.
